Ellington Properties was founded in 2014 and registered with the Dubai Land Department as developer no. 1117 in January 2016. It runs the Ellington Art Foundation, which places work by UAE-based artists in its buildings.

Art Bay, two low-rise waterfront buildings on the Jaddaf promenade, is its second collaboration with the Dutco group.
